Kelly's Vegan February

I started out a meat eater. Then I became vegetarian.

Now I'm Vegan. For the month of February, at least.

This is a record of 28 days of living
a Vegan Lifestyle
for my 28 Day Challenge
at Whole Foods Market Columbus Circle.

The struggles, the successes, the food!

Let's do this like it should be DONE.

DAY 3 OF 28 DAY CHALLENGE: FEB 3

Let's just say it in video form, shall we?  This is my first go at this, so it's awkward and self conscious.  Sorta like me in the eighth grade.

And let's add that I had Ezekiel Cereal and a large soy latte this am.  I don't like the soy latte.  Do I have to give up coffee? Ugh.  Please no.  Can't there be an alien cow out there that's not of this earth making it VEGAN whose milk I can feed upon?

That said, looking forward to vegan Ethiopian food this evening. :)

  1. Don't give it up. Just redefine what coffee is to you.

I went from drinking the occasional delicious (!!!) caramel latte to coffee with skim milk. Granted, the transition sucks but after a while I just accepted the taste for what it was and then the once shitty coffee with skim became quite the treat.

So, why not drink it black?

  2. Yes, I am also confused about the giving up of coffee. Are coffee beans infused with animal bi-product that I do not know of?

  3. Also, if you love almond milk, I do an almond milk latte. I do, they're good! Different but good.

  4. Ok. Milk, like dairy milk-cream-whatever, helps to dilute the acidity of coffee, and lessens the effects (the yucky ones) of caffeine. Alternative milks do not. And so I get a belly ache. This is the problem, really. Not sure if any alternative milk will cut that. Gonna experiment and see. :)

  5. I love this because I miss your face, and you were all about feeling it and going with the flow. That's so the Kelly I know.
